“All I wanted was a career that could feed me and my family. But look what happened, I fell in love with art and everything fell in place.”

About Eric

Meet Eric, a talented tattoo artist with an 20-year career in the industry. He's not just any tattoo artist, he's the first Indian to win an award at an international tattoo convention, and has gone on to win a whopping total of 16 awards in his career. He's a trendsetter, a motivator, and a source of inspiration for many who follow his journey and aspire to be like him.

Art

Eric specializes in realism and bio-organic tattoos, but he also likes to incorporate freestyle tattooing to create unique designs. His next venture is into large-scale full-body work that requires clients who are committed to the ink and the process.

If Eric wasn't a tattoo artist, he'd be a graphic designer or a travel guide. His passion for art drove him to follow his dreams, despite his family's expectations for him to get a job that pays well. He started in the tourism industry, where his manager recognized his passion for art and encouraged him to pursue it.

Eric's best work to date is a realism tattoo on his wife’s forearm, which has won six awards at international tattoo conventions. The level of detail and mystery captured in the tattoo is a testament to Eric's skill as an artist.

Tattooing

Being an Ironbuzz artist is a privilege for Eric. He started the studio with his wife, Diana, with the intention of creating artists who excel in their respective styles and have their own identity. Eric loves spending time at Ironbuzz, where he can share his knowledge and create a safe space for artists to learn from their mistakes and grow.

Ironbuzz's vision to serve unique art to clients is what Eric loves most about the studio. His passion for art and dedication to his craft is an inspiration to all aspiring tattoo artists out there.

Accomplishments

For Eric, being an artist is about bringing out the best in himself every day and every minute. He's driven by the emotion his clients feel after seeing the finished tattoo, and his inspiration comes from nature. With his experience in realistic and bio-organic tattoos, Eric's attention to detail, awareness of light and shadow, and focus on movement and contours of the body have made him a master in his craft.

So, how does Eric get better at his art? He advises others to ask for help, listen intently, delay gratification, and practice their craft. For Eric, ego kills an artist.
